Erasmus+ Team from Emäkoski School in Portugal

Emäkosken koulusta oltiin Erasmus-matkalla Portugalissa marraskuussa. Suomesta matkaan lähti kaksi opettajaa ja viisi 8.-9.luokkalaista. Suomalaisten lisäksi, Portugaliin saapuivat Erasmus-tiimit myös Puolasta ja Tanskasta. Aloitimme viikkomme Portosta ja jatkoimme seuraavana päivänä matkaa Vilanova De Paivaan, joka oli matkamme pääkohde. Seuraavaksi voitte lukea oppilaidemme muistoja matkasta.

Erasmus-team from Emäkoski's school was on a trip in Portugal in November. Two teachers and five 8th-9th graders set off from Finland. In addition to Finns, teams from Poland and Denmark also arrived in Portugal. We started our week in Porto and continued the next day to Vilanova De Paiva, which was the main destination of our trip. Päivä Portossa

Olimme portossa yhden ylimääräisen yön hotellissa ja saimme käydä kaupoissa ja katsomassa paikallisia turistikohteita. Esimerkiksi Sephora, Luis i Bridge ja Via Catarina

We stayed in Porto for one extra night in a hotel and were able to visit the shops and see the local tourist attractions. For example Sephora, Luis i Bridge and Via Catarina Shopping.

Matkat

Vila Nova de Paivassa kävimme maaseudulla vanhassa kylässä ja siellä olevassa museossa. Museossa kerrottiin paikan historiasta. Kävimme myös Viseossa. Siellä ollessa kävimme kirkossa ja kauppakeskuksessa, siellä oli esimerkiksi Bershka ja Pandora.

In Vila Nova de Paiva we visited the countryside in old village and there at the museum. The museum told us about that place´s history. We also went to Viseo. When we were at Viseo, we went to church and mall, there was for example Bershka and Pandora.

Perheiden yhteinen illanvietto

Yhtenä iltana koko Erasmus-porukka perheineen kokoontui viettämään iltaa hyvän ruoan ja keskustelujen kera. Teimme myös kävelykierroksen puutarhassa. Sää oli todella sateinen, mutta se ei haitannut tunnelmaa.

On one of the nights, everyone from the Erasmus project and their families gathered together to spend the evening with good food and conversations. We also did a walking tour through the garden. The weather was really rainy, but that wasn’t a problem.

Koulu ja oppitunnit

Koulu koostui kahdesta eri rakennuksesta, joista toisessa oli pääsääntöisesti alakoulu ja toisessa yläkoulu, ja molempiin piti kirjautua kouluun tullessa ja sieltä lähtiessä.. Oppitunnit käsittelivät projektin aihetta, eli turvallisuutta monesta eri näkökulmasta ja monella eri tavalla.

The school included two different buildings, one of them had mainly elementary school and the other had secondary school. When you came to school and left from school, you had to sign in and sign off. The lessons dealt with the subject of the project which was safety from many different perspectives and in many different ways.

Muut tapahtumat koulussa

Yhtenä päivänä kun tulimme kouluun niin aloimme katsoa yhdessä elokuvaa nimeltä Tall Girl. Se kertoi tytöstä joka oli pitkä ja häntä kiusattiin siitä koulussa. Sitten meillä oli myös liikuntapäivä jossa olimme liikuntasalissa ja teimme hauskoja juttuja ryhmissä.

One day when we came to school, we started watching a movie called Tall Girl together. It was about a girl who was tall and was bullied at school because of it. Then we also had a sports day where we were in the gym and did fun things in groups.
